As the era of big data continues to evolve, the development of petaflop high-performance computers has been prioritized in national development plans. The Ministry of Science and Technology has approved the establishment of the National Supercomputing Center to create a national computing power base, aimed at supporting original scientific innovations, significant engineering breakthroughs, high-quality economic growth, and technological advancements.
In a recent development aimed at accelerating the digital economy and promoting data-driven economic growth, the National Supercomputing Changsha Center has initiated the recruitment of ecological partners. These partnerships are intended to support the country’s national strategy and contribute to regional economic development.
Beijing Guanghuan New Network Technology Co., Ltd. (Sinnet) has been selected as an ecological partner for the 2023-2024 period, following a thorough evaluation by industry experts. The company’s selection was based on its strong track record in data center construction, leading green design technology, and its active promotion of the digital economy in the Hunan region.
The National Supercomputing Changsha Center, located in Changsha, is a key public computing infrastructure and scientific experiment platform. It is the third supercomputing center in China approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology and plays a pivotal role in advancing national and regional scientific and technological innovation, industrial development, and public welfare. As an important data center service provider in China, Sinnet’s partnership with the center will bolster the development of the intelligent computing economy and the digital transformation of enterprises in Central China and Hunan.
Sinnet’s Changsha Cloud Computing Center is a significant infrastructure project covering approximately 195 mu (about 130,000 square meters), with a planned building area of around 194,000 square meters. The center is strategically located with easy access to transportation and a robust core network. Designed to exceed the national A-level computer room standard, it will provide service capacity for about 16,000 racks, with ample room for future expansion.
Construction of the Changsha Cloud Computing Center began in January 2022, and the first phase reached its structural completion in November 2022. Currently, the project is in the electromechanical construction stage and is expected to begin partial operations in the first half of 2024. Once completed, the center will offer a full suite of digital infrastructure services, including data centers, intelligent computing centers, industrial internet solutions, and integrated cloud computing services.
Looking ahead, Sinnet aims to leverage its advanced technology and extensive experience in digital infrastructure to foster successful partnerships with key players, including the National Supercomputing Changsha Center. The company is committed to providing high-standard, customizable data center and computing power services, further driving high-quality economic and social development in the Hunan region and Central China.
